Scarsdale tandem Emma Ha and Kay Cottrell had dreamed of winning a section title one day, but Wednesday was far from what they envisioned, or wanted. Early in their finals match against Ursuline tandem Savannah Minter and Chinonso Okpara, the Koalas' duo had collided into each other. Minter sustained a knee injury, and while she valiantly tried to resume the match, she was unable to continue playing and Ursuline had to concede to Ha and Cottrell. "The way we won was not the most ideal, because it wasn't really a match − it was very sad," Cottrell said. "I used to play with (Okpara), she's so nice, and I felt really bad because Savannah is such a good player." "We could have had a great match," said Ha, chiming in. "I admire her for trying to get back on the court. ...
