Cody and I spent a week in Japan, 2 nights in Tokyo and 4 nights in Yokohama. I honestly would not recommend visiting Japan in August due to the heat, but because of the event we were attending, we didn’t really have a choice. Here’s a few things we did before flying out to Japan that really helped ease our travel anxieties: 💴 We picked up Japanese yen before flying to Japan. Did you know you can order foreign currency through your bank? (Most banks, not all, but I’d check with your bank first). I use US Bank, and was able to order currency through the phone app, and picked up the currency the next business day at my local bank branch. Yes, you can always exchange at the airport too, but it’s not always the best exchange rate. 🚆 💳 We added the most used transit card in Japan, Suica, onto our Apple wallets and loaded it with money before we got there.
