‘Love and Devotion’ - 2023 This piece of work is dedicated to the idea of love I have created from a result of unbalanced nurturing. Something that most queer kids suffer through is to recognize the right healthy love. Last three years I devoted myself to a man that I looked upto as my god and this is to show the power of love I hold in my heart. Love is what makes this community so beautiful but recognizing the right love is crucial. This queer focused series ‘Atonement’ was born from my personal struggle of existing between the duality of being religious and being queer. Unfortunately, queer individuals grow up without the proper and safe representation of love thus most often it results in choosing love on the darker side of life. This project is nothing but a celebration of the divine existence of the queer community through vibrant colors and gender manipulation, the lost and the found, the broken and the healed, the self and the other, the binary and non-binary.
