Q: In your experience, how important is maintaining positive mental health and well-being in volleyball?
A: "I think maintaining positive mental health and well-being is crucial to all aspects of life in and out of sport. As competitors, life can be difficult if we only recognize ourselves as 'volleyball players'. And if volleyball is not going well, or injury presents itself, or something out of control happens to disrupt our view of our volleyball self, it can be quite damaging. I think it's important that we remember that we as individuals are so much more than our sport selves and taking a holistic approach to sport can only benefit us in the long run.
