Happy #WeSaluteWednesday! Today we salute SFC Barry Douglass Jr who served in the New Jersey National Guard for over 20 years before retiring in 2018. He served 2 tours in Iraq (2004 and 2008), with each deployment lasting longer than a year. SFC Douglass was deployed at the time his son was born and first met him when he was 2 months old during an allowed leave. He is a proud veteran and continues to support the local community as a physical education teacher for Kindergarten through 8th-grade students. SFC Douglass, we salute you on this #WeSaluteWednesday and every day. Thank you for fighting for our freedoms and for your sacrifices to protect those we love.
