I remember last year approaching the finish line, kissing my hands, and looking to the sky thanking God for the successful completion of the Chicago Marathon + setting a new PR at the time 2:47:15. I came into the chimarathon a little uncertain that I would break my personal record. The uncertainty came from the training block not being as smooth as my previous one. I had to take a bit of time off due to a foot injury that happened non-running related. I slipped on an algae rock on the beach after finishing Falmouth Road Race and it took a deep cut out my big toe leaving me on the sidelines for over two weeks. However, I knew all the hard work I put into the training leading up to that moment, now it was all about going out there and executing. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ Who wouldโ€™ve ever thought this photo would be used for the 45th Anniversary of the Chicago Marathon. 4+5 = 9, my line number in Alpha. The universe makes way for you when you operate in a space of purpose + passion. ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿพ #WeRun313 #Ch...
