This year's Great Forest Park Balloon Race was a bit of an oddity. The weather was perfect but there was just no wind! Many of the balloons launched, drifted lazily to the south and ended up landing inside Forest Park. The first couple balloons caught the last remaining gusts of wind and headed east, but most just floated overhead. Despite the lack of "racing" this gave people a chance to see balloons landing. Some crowds followed under the balloons, through the park, and met them as they landed.
