Meet Kenzie! A #WashU25 student who exemplifies the spirit of exploration and curiosity. As a self-described outdoors enthusiast, she's always been drawn to the wonders of the natural world. Her journey into the world of science began when she was little. In middle school, she received her very first telescope, sparking a fascination with the mysteries of the night sky, including the ever-illuminating Orion's Belt. Originally a chemistry major, Kenzie soon realized she desired a more interconnected approach, one that could seamlessly blend her passions. This led her to pursue planetary science, complemented by a minor in biology. As part of the WashU NIH MARC and uMARC (Maximizing Access to Research Careers Undergraduate Student Training in Academic Research) research scholar programs, she's delved into groundbreaking research.
