A great achievement for a great cause 👏 • The Iowa women’s basketball team broke the all-time women’s basketball attendance record today when 55,646 fans attended the Crossover at Kinnick. ‼️ • The charity exhibition event, known as the Crossover at Kinnick, was hosted in Iowa's Kinnick stadium with proceeds going towards the University's Children's Hospital. 🏀 • While breaking the all-time women's basketball attendance record was the goal, it's not the only thing the team has to be proud of. The event ended up raising over $250,000 for the Hospital. 🙌 • “Truly playing for something bigger than ourselves. All the money we’re raising is going to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. That’s an awesome feeling to know that it’s bigger than basketball,” fifth-year guard Gabbie Marshall said. • Congratulations ladies! What an achievement! 💕 #thegist • #womenssports #collegesports #basketball
