October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Nine years ago, I left a job because of workplace bullying (and to live in Miami). When my daughter was in fourth grade, she endured bullying. Seeing her pain and anxiety were the reasons behind my daily #DadLunchNotes to her. Our kids to their cues from what we as adults act out for them. If they see adults bullying other adults, then they think it's OK to bully other kids. Being different doesn't mean you deserve to bully someone. If we haven't been paying attention for these last few years, we need to model the behavior we want to see in the world. Be kind. Be kind to those around you. Teach your kids empathy. Show your kids you're listening. Leave them notes to let them know you are there for them. The smallest things can go to the farthest of distances. #SomeGoodNews
