It’s not everyday that the transfer portal features a college graduate with 3 years of eligibility left, and had it not been for a decades long relationship Shacks had with a college coach in Vermont, we’d have likely never have landed her. Our decision to make an offer to Cricket came after a mere 30 minute zoom without ever having seen her even play. We immediately realized this was one special human and the entire staff looked at each other and said “slam dunk!” As with many athletic careers, hers did not progress as envisioned. Multiple knee injuries were the reason for all of her remaining eligibility from UVM, but also what ultimately brought her Tribe career to an end a year too soon.
