I photographed some fantastic birds on their migration through Nebraska this past weekend. Every year around March and April, roughly one million sandhill cranes land in Nebraska. Despite it being freezing outside, having to wake up at 3 a.m. and make a two-hour commute to Grand Island with some other tired friends, we got to see something only a few people ever get to witness.
