As a correspondent, we regularly show up to places on people’s worst days. In fact, I remember during the beginning of the pandemic, I met a a viewer who said he calls me the “Bad Day Guy” because I’m always showing up to tragedy. But last night, I got to do something I rarely ever do on camera, I smiled. It was a big deal for me to be able to show another side of myself on CNN.
