The Domestic Violence Brain Injury Program at BarrowNeuro is the first of its kind in the United States to treat patients who’ve suffered traumatic brain injuries caused by domestic abuse. Findings from one of the program’s research studies revealed that of 115 domestic violence patients, 81% suffered “too many head injuries to count.” Through compassionate care, education and research, this program has changed the lives of more than 630 patients. #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth #PurpleThursday
