The 2014-15 season was the first year of Bruce Pearl as head coach. The team limped into the SEC Tournament with a 12-19 record and the loss of Antoine Mason's father Anthony. The team wore a black memorial ribbon on the jerseys for the final three games of the regular season and throughout the conference tournament.⁣ ⁣ The Auburn Tigers had a magical run in the tournament, winning three straight games to face #1 Kentucky in the semi-finals.
