ACC Kickoff Portrait Set 2 After set one afforded me multiple lighting looks for the players and coaches at this year’s event, the white set was a simple headshot setup just to stretch things out a little bit with diversity in visuals and I ended up loving it for its simplicity and impact. This assignment is the first time I have had the NikonUSA Z8 bodies at work in a portrait setting and initial results are that I may prefer it to the Z9. Still more testing to do to determine exactly why but there is something going on that I certainly like. I had this scenario captured with the Nikkor 85mm f1.2 S. Even though I was stopped down to f5.6-f8 for these photos, it still flexed with some thin depth of field despite being stopped down. Obviously not as wild as it would have been at 1.2, especially at this distance.
