W🏒 The westernwhky take their second win of the weekend, picking up a 2-1 victory over York on Saturday night. The Mustangs opened the scoring with a goal from Haylie Kirkpatrick assisted from Alyssa Wouda and Madelaine DesRosiers bringing their team up to a 1-0 lead. With a minute left in the first period, the Mustangs took a two goal lead against the Lions. Alyssa Wouda netted her second goal of the season, assisted by Kate Martin and Emma Campbell. "I thought we competed really hard and we got ahead early which was helpful for us. Certainly, our competing level has been high today and I think that was the key for us." said Interim Head Coach Rich Brown.
