Friends know Vince as the guy they can always talk to, the level-headed one. But what people may not know is that Vince struggled with his own internal intrusive thoughts and feelings as he was raised in a first-generation household where feelings weren't often expressed. He lives with the generational trauma of many families that immigrate to America for a new beginning. This trauma, internalized, was the reason for Vince's struggle with depression and anxiety. This story is part of our #30Days30Stories project for #NationalSuicidePreventionMonth where we share stories of resilience from those struggling with mental health or suicide related challenges. Read Vince's story and watch a video of her story at the link in our bio. Keep the power of this story going: If you're moved by Vince's story, please share!
