From no injuries in high school days to a series of heartbreaking setbacks at Indiana, @themp9’s story is one for the books. Freshman year: ACL tear. Sophomore: Shoulder injury. Junior year: ACL tear part 2. Senior: Shoulder injury again. Amid the trials was a mental battle for Penix. His guiding light through the darkness? Family. Their belief, his strength. Penix told me he’d tell himself, “It’s more than just me.” Teaching his younger brothers that life’s setbacks demand a response. Now, Penix is one of the best players in college football and a favorite to win the Heisman trophy. Perseverance on full display. @nextupwithadam #cfb #collegefootball
