Meet Colt Matz, a resilient 13-year-old who is fighting a courageous battle with leukemia. Despite enduring more than any child should, he remains grateful to those who support him throughout his journey. Now, he's leading the Be The Match donor registry event at SBU, set for Saturday, Oct. 28, 1-4 p.m., at the McGinley-Carney Center for Franciscan Ministry on campus. ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’› #BeTheMatch Colt, the son of Mike and Christina Matz of Portville and grandson of Dr. David Matz, a retired classics professor at SBU, has undergone two bone marrow transplants since his diagnosis in May 2021. "I wouldn't be here today without my donor. The registry helped me find the perfect match," Colt shared. Let's rally together to support this cause and make a difference for those in need. ๐Ÿ“•: sbu.edu/news
