Eighth grade Lions took to the capitol! 📍On their latest off-campus adventure, our students explored iconic American monuments like Capitol Hill, the Library of Congress, and the White House; visited memorials dedicated to Martin Luther King, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln; and viewed powerful exhibits at the National Museum of American History, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian. Finally, our young historians also attended a hands-on workshop discussing current domestic issues and congressional deliberation — and even had a meeting with members of congress and their staff. #DwightSchool #DwightDestinations #BeyondTheClassroom #MiddleSchool
