Our Co-ED discusses the current situation with the removal of incarcerated youth from Angola and the dilemma that Louisiana’s youth justice advocates experience across the board with all of the Office of Juvenile Justice’s (OJJ) facilities. Just yesterday, reports have emerged of mace being used, shackles, zip ties, and handcuffs being placed on youth, interaction with incarcerated adults, and a severe lack of educational instruction in the facility these youth were transferred to.
