Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Dr. Mandy Cohen said the state anticipates lifting the mask mandate and easing other public health recommendations once two thirds of adult North Carolinians have received at least one vaccine dose and if trends remain stable. “North Carolina’s strong safety protocols and actions to slow the spread are why we’ve been able to avoid a surge in cases overwhelming our hospitals,” Governor Roy Cooper said. “Our careful, reasoned approach has worked, striking the right balance.” #covid19 #northcarolina #wearyourmask
