Following after her brother’s footsteps at a very young age, she picked up the game of basketball. She would go on to step away from the game for a while. Before visiting New York this past summer — she wasn’t in the best headspace after losing her mom to COVID-19. It wasn’t until she stepped on the basketball court again on a random day in New York that she found her happy place again.
