Harlem, New York 📍🗽 Meet Demetrius (demetriusnapolitano) a Harlem native and yogi 🧘🏾 After spending 22 years in foster care, he lived in over 30 homes, adopted twice, and overcame incarceration and homelessness throughout his lifetime. He turned his pain into purpose which led him to starting his nonprofit, fosteringmeditation, a foundation to help youth in foster care learn the five steps to wellness through meditation, yoga, expressive writing, community, & nutrition. Demetrius is headed to India 🇮🇳 for a two month sabbatical to study meditation and yoga to bring back to his community and begin developing the youth to become meditation and yoga teachers.
