When you train your glutes, you want to utilize a variety of exercises and planes of motion but these four exercises are great for giving you lots of time under tension to maximize your training if you’re working out at the gym!
1. Hip Thrust - This exercise can be done with a machine, a barbell, dumbbells, or a resistance band and is one of the best for progressive overload and glute isolation without using too much hamstring.
2. Landmine Front Squat - Believe it or not, squats are NOT the best for glute *isolation, but they are an essential part of the equation in training your glutes! This variation could be replicated as a dumbbell goblet squat, a barbell front squat, or a dumbbell front squat. I you don’t have a landmine attachment you can simply wedge a barbell in the corner of a room to get the same outcome!
