For some, it’s all about sustainability. Aurora Gualtieri, CAPM, at Amexio Belgium & Luxembourg wants to take on the social and environmental damage of the Dandora landfill in Nairobi, Kenya. Sophia Kianni of climatecardinals has her eye on projects to develop eco-friendly fabrics made with natural elements like mushrooms and seaweed.
A couple honorees went futuristic: Mohammed Alsobhi, PMI-RMP, PMP, PgMP, at ruaalmadinah dreams of turning time travel into reality. And University of Tokyo’s Naoji Matsuhisa wants to create human-friendly cyborgs.
Others zeroed in on construction. Hafiz Naseer Afzal, PMP, at National Engineering Services Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. is interested in Neom, Saudi Arabia’s smart city gigaproject.
