Stop and read this full circle moment. 🥹 Last December, Bettye Brewer was at home with her family when their smoke alarms went off. “Everybody automatically ran downstairs to check and see where it was coming from,” Betty said. “We didn't see any fire, so we thought it was the Christmas tree.” Once they learned that the fire had engulfed their garage, they quickly escaped their home as neighbors nearby helped call 911. The smoke alarms that helped save Bettye and her family’s lives were installed just two months earlier by Red Cross volunteers Robert Jay Wortley and Mike Turner during a Sound the Alarm event.
