Recently, we had the pleasure of having an alumni bring us two framed accounts about Emily Griffith obtained from a Rocky Mountain news clip. Alumni, Getahun Gebreselassie, of Emily Griffith Technical College language class of 1974, is a living testimony to how Emily Griffith directly impacted his life by removing educational barriers and creating equal opportunities for all. Getahun states, "As a former student enrolled in English as a Second language class of 1974 who transferred to Red Rocks Community College and then Metropolitan State College of Denver, I am someone who has benefited from the educational opportunity."
