With God and family at the forefront, these six sisters aren’t letting the past dictate their future 👏🏾 ⁠ After losing their Queens home in 2013, David and Yonette Lawrence encouraged their daughters to think of a future beyond their situation and look into getting an education.⁠ ⁠ Since earning their GEDs in 2019, the six eldest Lawrence sisters went on to obtain bachelors degrees in public health at SUNY Old Westbury, and are now enrolled in a master’s program in public health at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. The next stop will be nursing school 👩🏾‍⚕️⁠ ⁠ “I’m so happy they’ve done this together. I always tell them, ‘Life’s not fair.
