Day 78 and today was a celebration and I had to share this. Today's run was for Owen Boyle who has been 9 months cancer free💪♥️. This is what his mom wrote to me: Owen Boyle. My son Owen, 17 years old, had Ewing’s Sarcoma as well. He was diagnosed 5/18/22. Owen had broke his 2nd metatarsal at a soccer tournament in September of 2021, over the next several months it wasn’t healing. Even with several X-rays and a MRI during that time it was missed until his physical therapist called around and found a podiatrist to see us right away. More scans and X-rays had us heading from Fairbanks Alaska to Seattle children’s hospital, where we spent the next 8 months. He opted to do chemo and have a Symes amputation. He finished chemo in January and was super excited to get back to school and his friends. He still doesn’t have his foot yet. The chemo really slowed his healing and he has already had one revision of his scar. He’s determined to get back on the soccer field. He’s staying in the mix b...
