How would the tax revenue be distributed? We've got some answers. A cost-benefit analysis of the impact of the proposed measure by Scioto Analysis has determined that legalization would generate a "net economic benefit" of $260 million per year, which includes about $190 million in tax revenue based on a 10% tax—the lowest out of any legal state. It would be split as follows: • 36% to the Can*abis Social Equity and Jobs Fund. • 36% to the Host Community Can*abis Fund. • 25% to the Substance Abuse and Addiction Fun. • 3% to the Division of Can*abis Control and Tax Commissioner Fund. As for jobs? “Our models predict that Ohio will add roughly 3,300 new jobs in the first year after legalization,” says the report. ━━━━━ More details for you at HighTimes.com/news | By a.j.herrington
