The sting of a lopsided road loss to Arlington in the second week of the season stayed with Carmel long after the setback. It motivated the Rams to refocus and rededicate themselves, knowing that winning out was the only sure way to a second chance. Carmel was dialed in Nov. 3 and simply overwhelmed Suffern, rolling to a win in a Section 1 Class AA semifinal. It was the Rams’ seventh win in a row.
