Recently I had the pleasure of photographing Ashlynn Berry, a PhD candidate in chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis. Berry, who is currently working on sustainable ways to extract hydrogen fuel from water, was the only chemist in Missouri selected to the Department of Energy’s Office of Science Graduate Student Research fellowship program.
