Between courses and chords, junior Greyson Smallen juggles pursuing a degree in music education, a band, and life itself. The Park’s guitarist lives in a world surrounded by music, yet still feels no need to unplug. “I wouldn’t say, for me, it’s very challenging because I find it really fun,” Smallen said. “I make music all the time in my free time.” The day-to-day demand doesn’t bother Smallen, especially when they have the opportunity to perform. On Sept. 24, Smallen’s band, The Park performed at the Mid-Missouri PrideFest, presenting their latest EP “demonstrations” with contagious smiles and cheerful energy.
