I’ve noticed a few accounts still popping links in their captions. Unfortunately, Instagram still doesn’t have the ability to redirect your followers away from the platform to an outside source. It’s a surefire way to NOT get the call-to-action you’re looking for. And if that URL is long, no one is going to take the time to type it out in a search bar. SO HOW CAN YOU GET YOUR FOLLOWERS TO VISIT AN OUTSIDE LINK? Well, there are a few ways to tackle this. 1st - direct your audience to your LINK IN BIO having previously amended that link to be the one you’d like them to visit, e.g. a petition or a featured event. 2nd - if you have this feature, amend your PROFILE PAGE LINKS to include your usual URL or website as well as the link you’re asking them to visit in your caption. You can add up to five website links, including your Facebook page, this way. 3rd - ask your followers to VISIT YOUR STORY and add your link that way using the link sticker.
