The environment in Antarctica is unique - a glacial 'universe' containing the largest store of pure water on Earth. The Antarctic ice sheet accounts for 90% of Earth's total ice volume and 70% of its fresh water. This remote and rarely visited region greatly impacts our planet - each of our futures are intricately woven with that of the ice.
