California International Marathon (CIM) is a reputably fast and fun race that many runners mark on their calendars as their "A" race of the year. mamaxruns, a
#RADrabbit and also a runcim262 ambassador, is no stranger to this race: she ran it as her first marathon 20 years ago on a whim when she was in university. In her first running, she started strong before hitting the wall hard.
"It was a tough race, but I kept returning for another CIM," Minji reflected.
"After taking a decade off while raising 2 runner kids, I’ve matured more and embraced a beginner’s mindset from my running community and best friend who recently started running."
20 years later, Minji is proudly returning to her first ever marathon course as a masters
#motherrunner. In preparation, she's been hitting some milestones along the way, like reaching her peak weekly mileage (70 miles a week!), and finding meaning in every step towards the Start line.
