It’s National First-Generation Day for college students! Congratulations to our first gen students who received a special invitation to visit the whitehouse. On November 8, we pay tribute to the first-generation college students and alumni, whose determination and accomplishments continue to break barriers and pave the way for future generations. This date marks the anniversary of the Higher Education Act of 1965, a landmark legislation that aimed to open the doors of higher education to students from minority and low-income backgrounds, changing countless lives and shaping a more inclusive future.
