With heavy hearts, we are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Evan Boyd, affectionately known as DJNeva aka #BlackPanda. He suffered a stroke two weeks ago & passed away on Sunday, Nov. 5th, at 8:30 pm. Neva was a remarkable person & a true pillar of the DJ and nightlife community, with over three decades of contributions, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many. Neva's journey as a DJ began in the Bronx, NY. In his youth, his two older sisters, Marion & Sean, would take him to the Park Jams & leave him by the DJs to babysit while they danced. It was there where Neva fell in love w/Hip-Hop & the craft of DJing by watching pioneers like DJ AJ, Lovebug Starski, Grandmaster Flash, and Red Alert. Later, he would hone this craft at iconic nightclubs in NYC before making his name in Las Vegas.
