One of the newest schools blocks we constructed with our partners buildon in Malawi is in the community of Chiwinga, one of the most remote communities where sonder_project works. The previous school blocks served Chiwinga and many surrounding villages, but were severely dilapidated, leading to a lack of motivation to attend school. Without an empowering education pathway for the youth, Chiwinga would continue to suffer from multi-generational poverty. That’s why we are proud to rehabilitate the primary school infrastructure in Chiwinga. The students in the community now have a highly conducive learning environment, and teachers are more motivated to work in Chiwinga to deliver high quality education.
