Addie Stargel is a community hero! 🥹 On Feb. 14, Addie was watching TV when she suddenly smelled smoke and heard what sounded like fire. She went to investigate the situation and realized her building was on fire. She quickly went to wake up her stepdad Tim, and they called 911. Once Addie, Tim and their cats evacuated their home, Addie decided to help her neighbors by banging on their doors to wake them up and get them out. Because of Addie’s swift action, she saved several lives that day and was recognized with the Community Hero Award by the VARedCross, the Wide Water Volunteer Fire Department and Stafford County Fire and Rescue.
