The Community Engagement Task Group (CETG) was created by mecklenburgcounty criminal justice leaders in 2021 to act as a liaison between the #community and criminal justice system to make recommendations for policy and practice changes that positively impact outcomes within the community. Based on input gathered at the March 2023 community conversation in the Washington Heights neighborhood where the need for more youth support and empowerment was the focal point of discussion, the CETG is hosting a Youth Resource Fair (YRF) on December 9, 2023 from 10:00am-1:30pm. The YRF is designed to center and celebrate Mecklenburg County youth and their families by offering supportive, educational, and empowering resources.
