Today players and staff took part in a smoking ceremony led by Shannon Ruska, a descendant of the Yuggera and Turrbal Tribes and a performance by the Wagga Torres Strait Islander Dance Company. Today marks National Sorry Day, and the club remembered and acknowledged the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were forcefully removed from their homes. Today and everyday, we acknowledge the strength and resilience of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
