Brown Butter Pumpkin Spice rice crispy treats | a delicious dessert to make this holiday season! Recipe below:
Ingredients
Rice Crispy Treats:
4 tbsp butter
4 cups mini marshmallows
1½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
½ tsp ground allspice
5 cups rice crispy cereal
5 oz Sante pumpkin spice pecans (or any candied pecans)
For Brown Butter Icing:
6 tbsp butter
1¼ cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Milk or cream as needed
Directions
•butter 8” square baking dish
•add butter to skillet on med heat
•continue to cook butter, stirring occasionally
•the butter will sizzle and then start to foam
•when it smells nutty and there are brown bits on bottom of pan, add marshmallows, cinnamon, ginger, and allspice
•cook, stirring frequently until marshmallows are melted
•remove from heat and stir in cereal and pecans
•add mixture to baking dish, spread evenly & let cool

•add butter to skillet on med heat
•allow butter to brown
