Jenny Brown worked her magic in the Lake Forest showhouse when she created the Young Collector's bedroom. The design was inspired by some of her fondest childhood memories visiting the various houses of her grandmother and her friends. Bedecked in florals and checks from floor to ceiling, these houses had a fearless celebration of color and pattern mixed with fine antiques and objects, adding a sense of joy and whimsy. It is in this spirit that Jenny knew she had to use schumacher1889 poppy chintz, as it captures the essence of vintage florals favored in the 60s and 70s. She draped the windows in a pretty, preppy print and could not resist the colorful coordination of the starbursts and stripes covering the walls and the elegant custom therugcompany rug framed in poppies across the floor.
