Alexis Ware served in the Marine Corps and understands the significance of supporting veterans. She shared: "Veterans Day is a day where America comes together — where we recognize and thank the people making the sacrifice to be away from home, away from their families, and going to areas of conflict." While on active duty, Alexis needed support when she received an unexpected emergency message from the Red Cross Hero Care Network informing her that her sister was hospitalized. Our Service to the Armed Forces team helped get Alexis home to be by her sister's side. Thankfully, her sister recovered, and the experience left a profound impact on Alexis and inspired her to pursue a career with the Red Cross.
