Today, K-9 Officer, Thor, officially retired with 7 years (49 dog years) of service under his collar🎖️ During his ceremony, Thor stood alongside his handler, Cpl. Bernal, while Chief Silva presented him with his retirement plaque. Surrounded by his fellow Officers' & friends from administration, Thor took his final K-9 walk to his police unit & received his final 10-42 from dispatch. While a few tears were shed, McAllen ISD is honored to have had Thor protect & serve our district's students these last 7 years.
