Her honesty will definitely be missed. 🥲 • Last night, USWNT legend Megan Rapinoe played her final professional soccer match as the OL Reign took on Gotham FC in the NWSL Championship Game. 🥹 • Rapinoe took the pitch for Saturday night’s showdown hoping to hoist the trophy with her squad for the first time in front of a rowdy crowd of 25,011 fans. 🏆 • Unfortunately things didn’t go as the winger hoped. Just minutes into the match, Rapinoe suffered a non-contact injury, causing her to drop to the ground in pain. She was forced to exit the game after a mere six minutes of play. 😔 • Rapinoe announced her retirement back in July, and due to her team’s outstanding play this season, Saturday night served as her final match. 👋 • Although Megan left her final game due to injury, she leaves the game of soccer as an all-time legend. 🫶🏻 #thegist • #womenssports #soccer
