Tim Anderson didn’t have a choice in many of the things that happened to him and obstacles he had to overcome to get here.
Tim Anderson has turned his pain into purpose. After losing a close friend to gun violence, Tim and his wife, Bria, knew they wanted to give back to the community in honor of their friend, thus the creation of Anderson’s League of Leaders. They founded Anderson’s League of Leaders with the goal of impacting and providing leadership opportunities to youth affected by violence in Tuscaloosa and Chicago. The Andersons give back to the community of Tuscaloosa, Alabama with an annual turkey drive, where they pass out over 200 turkeys to families in the area. They also host Cuts for Kids, where ten to twelve barbers will cut kids’ hair and pass out backpacks with school supplies for the first day of school. He is changing the trajectory of kids lives and leaving a mark on the game by encouraging the next generation of players to play baseball.
